Blue Northern Energy Acquires Quicksilver Biodiesel Technology
Blue Northern Energy is rejuvenating the biodiesel industry. BNE's mission is to produce a sustainable and profitable biofuel production market throughout the United States. BNE combines the current innovation advances, refining procedures and innovative minds to establish sustainable and rewarding biodiesel production centers. BNE supplies guidance and services to businesses and communities in their endeavors to develop new biodiesel production centers or retrofitting existing centers to make them sustainable and rewarding. Through its work and competence BNE, identifies itself as the leader in the renewable energy field.
Blue Northern Energy (BNE) has acquired a special innovation for producing biodiesel fuel. The Quicksilver Biodiesel Technology (QSB) is a constant biodiesel production procedure by the trans-esterification of veggie oils. Multiple feedstocks might be used, permitting the most affordable cost feedstocks to be used. The capability to customize the procedure constantly, as the feedstocks change by modulating the other reactants to the procedure instead of changing batch recipes, makes it an extremely versatile and more efficient process. The process also enables a reduction in capital cost of up to 40% and a reduction in running cost through lower energy cost of up to 30%. These advantages of the innovation have been validated through a 3rd celebration assessment completed by the Center for Process Innovation.
The QSB innovation has been thoroughly evaluated at the pilot plant in Budapest, Hungary. Feedstocks from Europe along with the USA have been shown, both individually in addition to blends.
Developing and improving the technology is a high concern for BNE, and basic to our international expansion plans. In order to support this, BNE will be developing a brand-new Innovation Center located next to the first biodiesel plant in Newton, Illinois. The center will have the ability to demonstrate future feedstock processing and perform comprehensive measurements for BNE plants and experimental samples.
It is the administrator of the BN National Trail facility from conceptualization, development, building and construction to management. This facility exhibits the advanced innovation of BNE and production procedure that used several crops, edible and non-edible, for sustainable, high quality and profitable biodiesel production.
BNE's personnel will increase to support this technology program. A senior chemical process professional will be employed to carry out mass and energy balance calculations and develop the chemical procedure for innovative feedstocks.
